This Chinese Hat Island is one of the must-see locations as it is also in close proximity to “Kualoa Beach Park”. In Hawaii, you can see a lot of “Green Sea Turtles”, and the type of turtle is called “Honu”. There is an old saying that every time you see a turtle, your life will increase by one year. If you can see sea turtles that are not often seen, that is a sign of luck. The number one reason turtles come to shore is for food. It is said to eat moss and seaweed attached to stones and rocks on the shore, and to avoid sharks in the deep waters of the North Shore and come out of shallow water. In addition, adult turtles do not move well in the water, so their body temperature is low, so they often come out to the sandy beach to bask in the sun on a sunny day.
